Sustainable AI

Efficiency and accountability belong in the architecture.

Responsible AI is not a claim about perfect technology. It is a discipline for choosing when to use AI, how much to use and where people remain in control.

01

Purposeful AI

Every AI call must create clear user value: extract, classify, verify, recommend or predict.

02

Model efficiency

Use the smallest competent model, supported by rules, caching and careful orchestration.

03

Data minimization

Collect and transmit only what is necessary for the task and the user’s agreed purpose.

04

Compute transparency

Make meaningful AI-use assumptions and efficiency choices visible where practical.

05

Privacy and consent

Protect sensitive data with explicit consent, security controls and retention limits.

06

Human override

AI supports decisions. People retain the ability to review, correct and override.

Responsible AI and Sustainable Living: Why KELPSI Exists

Digital systems shape how people spend, learn, work and manage resources. Their environmental and social consequences should be treated as product decisions — not footnotes.

Utility comes first

People do not need another tool that asks them to feel guilty. They need software that makes a useful action easier: understanding a statement, organizing a tenancy record, extracting knowledge or reducing repetitive work.

Efficiency is a design choice

Not every task needs the largest model. Clear rules, smaller models, cached outputs and carefully minimized context can often produce a better product with less cost and complexity.

Measurement must precede marketing

KELPSI will distinguish methodology, measured results and independently verified outcomes. Until evidence exists, the honest product story is what the system is designed to measure — not what it has already achieved.

People remain responsible

AI can support extraction, classification and recommendation. It should not silently own sensitive financial, housing, identity or compliance decisions.
